JT9D Engine Thrust Estimation and Model Sensitivity Analysis Using Gradient Boosting Regression Method

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) technology has been applied in different research fields. this study, the XGBoost regression model is proposed to estimate JT9D engine thrust. The performance mean absolute error (MAE) 0.004845, mean-squared (MSE) 0.000161, and coefficient of determination (R2) values training, validation, testing subsets are 0.99, 0.98, respectively. Based on a sensitivity analysis, four parameters’ optimal as follows: number estimators 900; learning rate 0.1; maximum depth 4, random state 3. addition, comparison between study that previous one was conducted. MSE value low 0.000021.
